VBC Dimboola staying 2 nights Halls Gap
Venue: Leaving Sorrento 9.00am ferry

This month's VBC is at Dimboola. Leaving Fri 10/4 on the 9.00am Ferry from Sorento Birky will be leading us from Queenscliff to Lorne, up via Deans Marsh to Halls Gap. Lunch still being worked out. We are staying at Halls Gap at the Golden Chain Motel both Fri and Sat night as limited accommodation in Dimboola. Mark has 12 rooms on hold King Doubles and Twin share $170 - $180 each night. Sat morning Birky will lead us to bfast at Dimboola approx 1hr 20 mins 109kms. After Bfast Birky will lead a ride (still being mapped out) back to Halls Gap. Dinner Fri night at the Kookabura Hotel and Sat night Raccolta Pizzeria. When booking motel (Albert) advise booking under rooms held for Mornington Wanderers Mark Swarbrick. (03) 53564344. Annual Go-kart Challenge – 19/04/2026
Be at the Stony Creek Go-karts track at 11am for the event of the year – our annual Go-kart Challenge.
This year’s event will consist of:
• A 10-minute qualifying session
• A 20-minute race
Grid positioning for the race will be determined by the fastest lap time during the qualifying session. The race will commence with a rolling start.
Your race entry fee of $100 is payable on the day at sign-up.
Numbers needed – please call or text Val on 0457561601 to confirm your participation.
For those riding to the event:
Val will lead a ride through the Gippsland hills to Stony Creek. 9.30am stands-up at Baxter 5-ways for the 1.5-hour ride. We will need to reserve a certain amount of energy to ensure everyone can put their best foot forward during the event. No excuses!
After the awards ceremony, we’ll have lunch at Trulli’s Pizza in Meeniyan.
Approx 270km. TEC required.
